Ingredients for Moong Dal & Rice Khichdi with Mixed Veggies:

  1. Brown basmati rice: 50 grams
  2. Moong dal (raw): 40 grams
  3. Green peas: 30 grams
  4. Mixed green veggies: 1 cup
  5. Cumin seeds: ¼ tsp
  6. Turmeric powder: ¼ tsp
  7. Green chilli: 1, sliced
  8. Ghee: 1 tbsp
  9. Water: 350 ml
  10. Salt: as per requirement

Instructions for Moong Dal & Rice Khichdi with Mixed Veggies:

  1. Wash and soak rice and moong dal together for 15–20 minutes.
  2. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  3. Add sliced green chilli, turmeric powder, and sauté briefly.
  4. Add mixed veggies and peas, cook for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Add soaked rice and dal, salt, and mix well.
  6. Pour in water, stir, and pressure cook for 3–4 whistles until soft.
  7. Serve warm with ghee or curd.
